Buzzing town
Sandhamn island is one of the most popular places in the Stockholm archipelago and is well connected to Stockholm also by ferry, so do expect crowds. If you want to secure a mooring berth for your boat in advance, use https://www.dockspot.com, but even if you can't find an available place there, you can always just come and see (they do not offer all the berth in that app). Mooring is organized by harbour staff in a dinghy - they will tell you where to moor. The types of berths vary, you may be granted a stern-first or bow-first berth with lazy lines, but also a place for mooring alongside. Be prepared and flexible. The harbour is situated right in front of a hotel with a restaurant and beach bar, but there are several more restaurants and pubs in the town and also a bakery and a small supermarket. We paid 580 SEK for a 45-feeter for 1 night, electricity included.
